Privacy Policy

A plain-language account of what PresentWell processes and why.

The short version

PresentWell does not record or upload camera frames, photos, video, or audio. Face-related signals are analyzed on your device. Aggregate results remain on your device except when a Pro check result is displayed and the app requests an AI coaching summary. That request sends only the aggregate values described below.

Face data: what the app processes

During a Desk Coach session or 45-second check, PresentWell processes live front-camera frames in memory. Google ML Kit detects a face on-device and can calculate a face rectangle, landmarks, head angle, smiling probability, and left- and right-eye-open probabilities. PresentWell uses the face rectangle and probabilities to calculate smile intensity, eye-open signal, symmetry, face centering, and steadiness. Head angle is used only for temporary in-app diagnostics. Landmarks, head angle, and per-frame results are not saved.

A completed check saves an aggregate result containing smile intensity, eye-open signal, symmetry, face centering, steadiness, the selected goal, duration, and date. Desk Coach saves only session totals such as duration, face-visible time, time above the locally calibrated signal, and nudge count. PresentWell does not create a faceprint or biometric template and does not use face data to identify or authenticate anyone, infer health, emotion, personality, or attractiveness, train a model, advertise, track, or build a user profile.

Face data: use and sharing

Camera frames, photos, video, audio, landmarks, head angle, and per-frame face results are never sent to PresentWell servers, Google Gemini, RevenueCat, advertising services, or analytics services. ML Kit performs face detection on-device. The ML Kit SDK may separately send Google limited app, device, performance, API-usage, and error diagnostics, but Google states that it does not receive the camera images or face-detection results.

The free Baseline Check does not make an AI request. When a Pro check result is displayed, PresentWell sends the aggregate check values, selected goal, device class, locale, and up to seven recent aggregate check results to presentwell-api.tepesoft.com. The service verifies the subscription with RevenueCat and forwards the goal, aggregate values, dates, and locale to the paid Google Gemini API to generate practice cues. No image, frame, landmark, head angle, face mesh, audio, video, biometric template, name, email address, or RevenueCat identifier is sent to Gemini. Under Google's paid-service terms, prompts and responses are not used to improve Google's products.

PresentWell does not sell face data. A user can choose to create a still from the current camera preview and send it through Apple's share sheet. PresentWell does not upload or save that still; the destination and any later retention are controlled by the user and the selected destination.

Face data: storage, retention, and deletion

Raw frames are never written to storage. Frames and per-frame detector outputs exist only in volatile memory while the camera view is active; the newest preview frame replaces the previous one, and the data is discarded when the camera view or app process ends. A completed Baseline Check and up to 60 aggregate check results are stored in the app's local device storage until an older result is removed by that limit or the user deletes the app. Up to 120 Desk Coach session totals are stored locally under the same rule.

The PresentWell service handles each AI request in memory and does not store the request or response in a PresentWell database, file store, or request-body log. Under Google's current abuse-monitoring policy, Gemini API prompts, context, and outputs are retained for 55 days for abuse monitoring, service safety and security, and required legal or regulatory disclosures, then expire. Google may process this data in countries where Google or its agents operate.

Deleting PresentWell removes its on-device data. If the user enabled Apple device backups, an encrypted backup copy may remain under Apple's backup retention and deletion controls; users can manage or delete device backups in their Apple Account. No server-side PresentWell face-data record exists for the user to delete. Google automatically expires the AI request data after the 55-day period described above.

Subscriptions

Apple processes payment details. RevenueCat helps the app verify subscription status and may process a pseudonymous app user identifier, product, purchase status, storefront, and related transaction metadata. PresentWell does not send baseline results, face signals, camera media, or coaching observations to RevenueCat and does not receive your full card details.

To measure Apple Ads performance, PresentWell may send a privacy-preserving Apple AdServices attribution token to RevenueCat. PresentWell does not access the IDFA or request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Website analytics

If you select Allow analytics, this website loads Tepesoft's self-hosted Umami analytics and Microsoft Clarity with strict text masking. They measure public-page visits, referral and campaign tags, device and browser details, approximate network location, clicks, and scrolling. They do not receive camera frames, face signals, baseline results, coaching history, support messages, or anything from the iPhone app. Select Analytics choices at any time to allow or withdraw access.

Technical logs and security

Our hosting infrastructure may temporarily record standard security and access information, such as IP address, timestamp, path, status code, and user agent. Request bodies are not written to access logs. Logs are used to secure and operate the service and are retained only as reasonably needed.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell personal information. We share limited data only with service providers needed to operate PresentWell, including Apple, RevenueCat, Google, and our hosting providers, or when required by law.

Children

PresentWell is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.

Your choices

You can stop camera processing by ending a session or closing the app. You can delete local PresentWell data by deleting the app. Subscription management and purchase history are controlled through your Apple Account.
